There are so many thanks we have to share in this month's blog. First, we would like to share our deep appreciation to the people of Johnstown, Pennsylvania for their hospitality, encouragement and enthusiasm regarding our new film trilogy beginning with JP KNIGHTS! We know without prayer, we would not be where we are today. Secondly, we want to thank the media of the greater Johnstown area from the NBC Affiliate to the local paper and finally to Emmanuel Baptist Church for their hosting our entire film team.
Just a couple weeks ago, Jim Gromer, one of the screenwriters and Kevin Mcafee traveled from Denver, Colorado and Nashville, Tennessee to Pittsburgh where Gary Lambert picked up the men from the Pittsburgh airport bound to Johnstown, Pennsylvania. For months we have been preparing to share the newly developed screenplay to the Lambert family and the prayer team. Emmanuel Baptist in Johnstown hosted our prayer warriors gathering once again as we discussed the next steps in our process. This was an opportunity for our film team to share the vision of where we are going as we are expanding the HARVESTER CHRONICLES, Beth's wonderful story from one film, into three full length feature motion pictures. Jim Gromer shared of the process the writers carried and how Beth Lambert and Dr. Kevin McAfee shared in the beat outline development and writing of the screenplay. Kevin talked about the entire production vigil which will take approximately three years based on funding. Then, later in the day on Sunday the film team met with WJAC from Channel 6 in the Greater Johnstown Area followed by David Hurst from the Tribune Democrat. We deeply appreciate the coverage as the news story was syndicated in the Miami Herald, The San Diego Tribune, the US News and World Report and beyond. Amy from the Chamber along with Gary Lambert helped schedule these important meetings and we thank them for their help. Most importantly, we shared how the people of Johnstown can get involved in the film trilogy being created for the JP KNIGHTS series. The first step is line-producing the motion picture to place an accurate film budget using Movie Magic software to develop a precision based filming production process. After this, Vice President of GRP FILMS Stephanie Musser, one of the leading Co-Producers of the movies; will be meeting with Johnstown City Father's to discuss economic development and how financiers can get involved in the motion picture. Currently, the production budget is estimated at 18 million dollars and will be further refined when the last polish of the script is completed. We are currently looking for office space from one of the leaders of Johnstown to provide a conference room and a couple production offices for the next thirty six months. Once the film is financed, casting will begin and this will be followed by pre-production. While the film team was in the area, we did preliminary on sight research at some "summer camps" in the region that may be perfectly aligned with the story. At least two to three major stars are projected to be cast based on the economies of scale and this will be a union based and bonded film team working to make this dream a reality. Over several hundred people in the area have already reached out showing interest in the motion picture trilogy and over the next ninety days, our film team will be making provisions to keep spreadsheets of all those who are interested in helping becoming a part of this enormous undertaking. Thank you for your emails and be patient with us. From the Film Commission in Harrisburg, to our legal entity of JP KNIGHTS FILM PARTNERS LLC, established in Johnstown with our attorney Forrest Fordham, we are beginning preparation to meet with City Leaders, the Economic Development teams around Johnstown, the Chamber of Commerce and more. If you know of those who would like to be involved, let us know. We will be in touch as we get closer to begin the process. If you know of someone who has an extra office or two and would like to house GRP FILMS, please let us know. Excited about the future, Your JP KNIGHTS Film Team
